ProText 6: THE NEW BEGINNING

„Protext“ is a platform, offering a fresh look at the contemporary dramaturgy, the possible spaces for theatre-making and the relationship between the text and the stage.

The sixth edition presents performance readings of contemporary German dramaturgy, situated in non-theatrical spaces.

Organizers of the project: Gergana Dimitrova and Petko Stoyanov

Two reading-performances of new German plays:

Straße zum Strand [Road to the Beach], by Ulrike Freising

“... After a while the old man goes out of water. He is tired and he sits on the sand. At some point he gets up and starts walking on the beach. He looks like the loneliest man in the world. No. He is the loneliest man in the world.”

Genannt Gospodin [Called Gospodin], by Philipp Löhle

A young man by the name of Gospodin earns his living by walking a llama in the park. He keeps it in the basement and feeds it with milk and hay. There are two reasons for the organization’s radical theatrical actions: their firm conviction that there are prospects for development of the free theatre stage and the book Ten New German Plays published by Panorama+plus Publishing House that will officially premiere at the event. .
